According to a statement from a representative for Rihanna confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer is expecting a baby after her thrilling Super Bowl halftime performance.
She sang and danced to some of her biggest hits at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs were playing.
Her performance included popular songs like “We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been,” “Diamonds,” and “Work,” and she even hinted at her pregnancy during the show, which caused a stir on social media.
Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky are already parents to a 9-month-old son. In an interview prior to the halftime performance, Rihanna mentioned that she was initially hesitant to perform, but motherhood gave her the confidence to do so.
She said that becoming a mom made her feel like she could conquer anything and wanted her son to see her perform on one of the biggest stages in the world.
Rihanna also mentioned that the biggest challenge was fitting her extensive 18-year catalogue into a 13-minute set, but she felt they did a good job in curating the setlist for the show, which was a celebration of her music.
